Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everybody! “Sandy Paws” was real good to me. I finally got the Angry Bird toy that I saw in the Sears Katalog. A couple of new fuzzy mice, treats and a framed chore list. From mom and dad I got neutered, micro chipped, new collar and mom made me a new lined toy box with my name on it.

How embarrassing? I tried to stay up and catch “Sandy Paws” but I fell asleep. Of course ma had to snap a picture of me before she carried me off to bed.

I sure am glad that didn’t pitch a fit about going to Mary & Sara’s house last night. Ma said that my cousins Diamond the St. Bernard puppy, Cosmo the Pug and Tom the cat live there. Can you believe that a St. Bernard puppy weigh’s 125# and is still not done growing? Ma said that it would take 5 of me to be as big as Diamonds head. I DON’T care how sweet she is I would still freak out if I met her!

Visiting "The Ladies"

I went to see “The Ladies” today instead of tomorrow because they are going to have a house full of people. Let me tell you, my cousin Oliver was not happy to see me in his house. Mom and dad like to expose me to lots of new things. I did good today with Oliver until he jumped into mom’s lap. I admit I did get a little jealous. They say it will be easier in the long run. Especially in spring when I go camping with Earl and Gracie the miniature poodles.

Grandpa Scott is now snoozing in his chair. Ava and Zoe really tired him out today playing horsey. That's Zoe on the left, grandpa Scott and then Ava on the right.

Me I am going to be take a nap next because I told mom that I am going to stay up all night so I can say hi to Sandy Paws.

That Zoe! She just cracks me up! Always smiling and laughing.

Home from the Spa

Just got back from the Spa. I am NEVER EVER going to believe any more of their story’s EVER. Seriously? Getting neutered was my Christmas gift from them? Well isn’t that the gift that keeps on giving! The old farts had better watch their backs, that’s all I can say. Mom says it could have been worse, I could have been de-clawed. I can’t even run away from home because they micro chipped me. What a wild ride home that was. Daddy told mom that “No matter what, the boy is coming home today!”. (I think they missed me) Mom kept an eye on the weather/snow and told dad that they better go A.S.A.P if they wanted me home before the big snow storm hit.
“Sandy Paws” had better be good to me. I haven’t killed anymore glass Christmas tree ornaments lately, (last count is about 12) and have very very well behaved so I think that I should be in good with him. Unless he’s a lie also.
I have to go now, mom and I are going to make a few toys for my new cousin Oliver. Oliver now lives with “The Ladies”. Here I am testing out his basket that mom and I made the liner for. Ma also bought an extra bag of my favorite treats for Oliver when they were on sale.

Going to the Spa

The Spa just called to confirm my appointment for tomorrow. I can’t wait! Mom is going to help me pack after my nap this afternoon. It’s snowing outside right now. I sure hope that I can make it there tomorrow. Mom said not to worry, if all else fails she knows how to drive stick and we can use dad's Jeep. It has 4-wheel drive. Which I don't understand because mom's car is stick and has 4 wheels?
Today I have to help finish sewing the top cushion for “The Ladies” toy box. Mom said she going to finish wrapping the christmas gifts when I am at the Spa. Apparently I like to help a little too much. She is also going to clean the carpets because I am so afraid of the carpet cleaner. I love Mom!

I am laughing because I just saw what kind of soup mom is going to make while testing her stove. Funny mom. She don’t know this, but kittens are tough and have very little meat on their bones. Hey! That can looks like it’s been doctored up.

It's good to be a Kat!

Mom and Dad like to tease me. Every morning they get up and try to guess how much I grew overnight. Silly gooses, I grow during the day when they’re not looking! I grew enough that I can now jump in the windowsills. Just this morning I woke mom up talking to the birds and squirrels outside the bedroom window. Ma thinks that maybe I’ll stay out of the Christmas tree now that I have other windows to sit in. We’ll see.
Here I am “helping” dad pack up his vintage receiver that needs to be sent back to Rockford, Il to be fixed. Dad LOVED his receiver so much that he burned out the left channel.
Here I am helping mom work on one of her vintage Coleman stoves. She had to take it apart and paint it to look like something else for a contest on the Teardrop and Tiny Travel Trailer Forum. We going to paint it to look like a vintage suitcase because it is called a suitcase stove. Get it? I don’t.

Anyways one week to go before I leave for the spa. I am getting excited. I think dad’s kidding me, but he says that I should enjoy my boy parts while I still have them. The ‘ole farts keep joking about who owns which half of me. I think they have made a decision, dad owns the front half of me and mom owns the rear half. Dad pays for the food for his half and mom cleans up after her half. Sounds fair to me after all there is enough of me to go around!

Oh I Am SO Bad!

Mom keeps asking me how can someone so cute be so naughty? So far I have got about 8 or 9 glass ornaments broke. Ma wants to take the tree down already and dad won't let her. It turns out that once I learned that I can take a running jump and land on the table it was all over. Foolish mom though that if she moved the ornaments higher that I would not bother them. Ha! So far the "Oscar DOWN" command works.

Because I was so good at the circus ma and pa took me camping for Thanksgiving. This time we used mom's '53 Zollinger to go camping. I think they drugged me! Seriously. Here I am sleeping off my turkey coma. The old farts broke one of the pacts they made with each other about feeding me table scrapes. I LIKE turkey! I also like testing mom's patience. Once again I escaped while they were packing up to go home.
Another wonderful camp trip at Mauthe lake
State Park! In #215 one of mom and dad's favorite sites by the lake. Depending upon the weather and what "The Ladies" are doing for Christmas. We might be spending Christmas at the lake this year. Well gotta go now. Mom and I are going to put together the toybox they bought for the girls for Christmas. I might even get to help sew the cushion cover. Oh and before I forget yesterday I turned 4 months old. Mom called the circus and made an appointment for my Christmas present! Dad said that in a couple of weeks that I am going to the day spa! I can't wait!

P.S. What's a day spa? Do I have to pack an over night bag?

Busted!

I got busted big time today. A couple of weeks ago mom decided to try and put up a Christmas Tree. Dad said they haven’t had a tree up since 1999. That’s because Uncle Opie broke a couple of the bottom branches and mom had to wire them up. That’s the year that the day after Christmas the tree came down. Opie was always climbing to the top of the tree and batting ornaments ‘til they fell. They tried a test run a couple of weeks ago. Of course I was VERY interested in what ma was doing. I waited until the tree was up and her back was turned. Hey! Who knew tree climbing was so much fun? Anyways that lasted for a day until they got wise to me and shortened the tree up and put it on a table that I can’t jump on. Drat!
Until….. Today mom was working in the kitchen doing the dishes, and I figured a way to get on top of the table. She thought she heard a weird noise and went to investigate. Shhh…. I hid in the tree and watched her walk around looking for me. Just as she left the room I made a BIG mistake and a couple of glass ornaments touched and made noise. Man I was so BUSTED. It took her a few minutes, but she figured out that I was jumping on the top of the litter genie and lofting myself over to the table. Needless to say she moved the litter genie. Now if I could get her to stop clipping my nails I might have a chance to climb the drapes and try jumping into the tree. Hmmmm something to think about. We are going camping for Thankgiving next week..... just maybe I will grow enough that I can jump high enough to get on the table when we get home.

P.S. Who is this “Sandy Paws” dude? Mom said I better straighten up or he’s not bringing me any Christmas gifts.

My trip to the Circus

I am SO disgusted with mom and dad today. Yesterday mom made an appointment for me to go to the Circus. I was so excited! Mom even trimmed my claws. I thought that it was funny that she was playing in my litter box this morning. It turns out that “Circus” is code for veterinarian and she was digging in my box for a sample for said vet. I still can’t believe that dad went along with it and didn’t warn me. Ugh. Dad had to go into work early and couldn’t go with us. I really thought it was because he is afraid of clowns.

Ma suspected that I had ear mites and she was right. My uncle Sebastian had that problem. I was very VERY well behaved while the tech cleaned my ears, and during my two shots that I had today. Well one shot I had to have injected twice because Mom said that “I screamed like a little girl” and flinched. I only remember crying a little bit. Ma likes to tease me. I know she means well! I also have roundworms and had medicine shoved down my throat. Glad to be home again. I have to go back in 2 weeks to see Dr. Getson the head clown I saw today. I am currently laying under mom’s brooder lamp looking for sympathy.

Happy Belated Halloweenz

Oops I was so busy helping mom fix the dishwasher yesterday that I forgot to post. Well I call it helping mom called it hindering! I was going to go trick or treating with "The Ladies", but my costume that ma made would not fit me any more. Jez have I really grown that much in 3 weeks? Guess I did. Good thing mom took a pic. I was going as "Super Kat". Instead of candy I got a bag of my favorite catnip, chicken and cheese treats, and a couple of new catnip pouches. I promised that I won't rip them apart and leave them for dead. I'm told that the catnip thing I got from my Uncle Opie. They say he was a mean drunk.
I also helped mom make the new sign for my tree house. Once again.... I call it helping mom called it hindering! Who knew that embellishing could be so much fun? Dad used one of ma’s old 45 record holders and built ramps, a couple of perches and made a bed area on the top for me to sleep on. He even donated his camo snuggie for my bed. Now I have a place to go to when Ava and Zoe visit. Mom even had dad hang one of my flamingo’s she crochet for me. I love to beat him up! I even have my very own bathroom hidden in the back, so Ava won’t play in my litterbox. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with that girl!

Oh ya I forgot to tell you that I am 3 months old today. Mom and Dad tell me that I am growing like a weed. But then again they tell me that my eyes are all googly and that I have a marshmellow belly. Jez louise I'm not so sure about those two. At least life is always an adventure with them!

Camping for the first time.

We just got home from Mauthe Lake State Park. I kinda like the thing called camping. I got to smell and check out SO many new things. Mom and dad are so proud of me! I actually walked around the upper 500's loop on my new harness and leash. Well I really just followed dad while he was waving my new feather toy in from of me. I liked driving around the campground with my head hung out the window like a dog when we went driving around looking at everyones Halloween displays. Dad was dissapointed to find out that his '61 Shasta was not the oldest one in the park. Someone came in late on Saturday with a '60 Yellowstone. He said his is in way better shape. I said hey.... you guys have the youngest and cutest cat camping this weekend. How much more can you ask for?

Checking out Mauthe Lake.

Here I am chillin' with mom in the camper. I like to lay in front of the Little Buddy heater. It's like my own personal fireplace. I had a great time while camping. I even gave ma and dad the scare of their life. While they were packing up to go home, mom left the outer door open and thought she closed the screen door tight. While they were folding up the astroturf rug I jumped up and climbed to the top of the screen door and it popped open, and I procedded to jump off and run like hell! It was fun watching the two old farts freak out and try to catch me. Nothing like a good game of chase the kitty. Dad yelled get the clicker. Ma ran and grabbed the clicker and treats and said "Oscar come" "click" like a fool I ran up to her thinking I was going to get a treat. She must have been mad at me because I got no treat, only put back in the camper with both doors closed tight while they finished packing. Dad said he thought mom was a fool for clicker training me, at least he admitted he was wrong. On the way home they decided that they were going to call and make an appointment with someone called the Vet. They talked about something called micro chipping and "snip snip". Something tells me I am not going to like this Vet dude. I'll keep you posted.

The first couple of weeks at my new home.

I was also born a poor Bi Colored Ginger child/barn kat somewhere close to Beechwood Wisconsin. I never knew my daddy. Papa was a rolling stone. Momma had the bad habit of chasing cars ‘til one day she finally caught one. I miss Momma. They found me a couple of days later very weak. Katie, Josh and "The Ladies" took me in. Katie bottle fed me until I was stonger. I lived in a box with them for a few days until dad took me home to surprise mom. "I did what I had to do and adopted two unsuspecting humans. Hey…. A Kats gotta do what a Kats gotta do. I’m 6 weeks old and cute enough to make the ladies swoon.  Boy am I glad that I moved in with them. I couldn't ask for two more cooler kats! I LOVE them. They tell me that they have always adopted older kats and they were looking forward to raising a kitten. Man do I have plans for them.

Here is a picture of me visiting "The Ladies" my identical twin nieces Ava and Zoe. I sure am glad that I moved in with Dawn and Scott. These ladies really tire me out, the one called Ava on the left (I can tell them apart, which is more that I can say for Grandpa Scott). I try to stay away from her she likes to pick me up by the neck and play in my bathroom. That's Zoe on the right. I love the Zoe Bear she pets me and giggles when I run behind the baby gate. Here I am about 9 weeks old teaching them how to play.

My mom and dad keep telling me that Allie, Opie and Sabastian got together at the rainbow bridge and conspired against them. They sent me to heal their broken hearts. I got my mousing skills and scissor's teeth from Allie, she could chew through yarn and fishing line in 1.2 seconds flat! I get my big cat attitude, fetching and jumping skills from Opie. I also like to spend time under the brooder lamp like Opie did. (see pic on left) I also look a lot like Baz (he had long hair, I am short haired) and I LOVE water like him also.  Mom and Dad tell me that we are going to go camping soon . I'll post back when I find out what camping is all about.
