Merry Belated Christmas!

O.M.G. You can’t know how hard it was for Ollie and me to keep our mouth’s shut about the Ladies Christmas presents. They were here for a few hours Christmas Eve not knowing their dad bought them matching tricycles and they were behind a door a couple of feet away. Mom warned us to keep our big traps shut or else!
What Ollie and I didn’t realize was that we would have to be quick on our paws because they were terrors riding their bikes in the house. Geez Louise neither know how to use the brakes or how to steer the dang things. We hid out up in the “Man Cave” watching them. Mom said that we have a special reward coming for behaving when they were here. This is mom's favorite new picture of Zoe. They sure do love "Coco Milk"!
Mom invited Ava to come help make dinner rolls on Christmas. Ava was more interested in putting out the candle than learning how to bake.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Everyone!

Stuff 'n junk

Ma tried to put up the Christmas Tree a couple of weeks ago. Oliver was confused at first. He couldn’t figure out what Ma was doing, but I knew what was up with that! I let him climb it first and break the ONE and ONLY ornament that she put on the tree. Hee hee. Who’s the bad kat now? Ma decided to take the tree down after a couple of days because we just couldn’t help ourselves we just had to tip it over a couple of times. Dad decided to put it up in his office and anchored it to the wall so we can’t knock it over. Dang!

Ma keeps finding the Santa hat in different places in the house, and couldn’t figure out who was taking it. She then set up a sting operation and busted Ollie in the act!

What do you expect from a kat that eats Kale? Actually Ollie will eat just about anything, even if it’s on your plate. He can’t figure out why I don’t mooch or beg. That’s because I actually get more because I DON’T mooch or beg!
Anyhoo… we are now behaving ourselves (as best we can) the closer that it gets to Christmas. We don’t want to take any chances that “Sandy Paws” will skip us this year.

Ever hear of Rube Goldberg?

Well me neither until last week. Mom and I were cleaning out the walk in attic (I was exploring, mom was cleaning) and she dug out here expensive quilting frame she bought 20 years ago because she said that it‘s time to think about quilts for the Ladies. Mom put the side frames and 3 sets of poles in the kitchen while we continued to clean. All of the sudden we heard a loud CRASH! I swear I was NO WHERE around the frames. She found one of the sides had fallen over and broke. She cried. Dad and I went outside to the shop and invented a frame to clamp the broken part so the glue could dry. We are proud that it worked. Dad said ‘ole Rube couldn’t have done a better job than us.

I also have to introduce my new “Brother from a different mother” Oliver. Josh and Katie kinda got busted having Oliver. Mom said that he could stay with us for a while. At first I was really not happy he was here. He took over my “Man Cave”, my favorite bed, and even empty’s out my toy box and NEVER picks up the toys. I get even though. I poop in his litter box and don’t cover up my poop! It drives him nuts that he has to go in and cover it up.

Now we are good friends and chase each other around the house and play hide and seek in mom’s craft room. Come to think of it we haven’t hissed at each other in days. Dad said he hopes that someday I can be a lap cat like Ollie.

Fall is on the way!

We made it back from Wild Rose fine on Sunday afternoon. We had so much fun camping with Shawn & Cindy. I also found out that I am not the only camping kat. Shawn & Cindy bring their three kats camping also. I would like to thank Uncle Shawn for telling mom about covering my carrier with a towel. It worked out really good for me. Ma & Pa said that I was the best I have ever been riding in the truck!

What is it about the sand in central Wisconsin? Seriously…. That stuff gets EVERYWHERE! You should see the inside of Ma’s trailer. Mom said her trailer would not have half the amount of sand inside if I didn’t roll around in it and carry it inside. Oops I guess she noticed. Too bad that it rained all three days that we were there, or I would have spent more time outside.

Mom keeps telling me Fall is on it’s way and that means my days of lounging outside are coming to an end. I have been helping put in storm windows and putting plastic on the windows. Although Mom don’t call it helping when I put a hole in one before it was even sealed up. Hey it’s the thought that counts. Right?

What a long weekend that was!

Can you believe I had to spend TWO whole days with the Ladies? I now know why they are nicknamed the “Twinadoes”. My big brother Josh thanked me for being good to the Ladies. You can’t imagine how hard it is not to hiss and bite them when they are teasing me. Mom put up the baby gate so I could have some me time ALONE.

Wow this is the first time that I have seen either one of them being still. The one called Ava decided that she needed a nap. I was just checking on her for mom.

Hee hee hee Ma was having fun playing with stickers. Zoe was wondering why I kept snickering when she walked by me.

P.S. I am looking foward to camping next weekend. Gotta go make sure Ma packs everything I need.

Just got home from the rally

Got home from the rally a couple of hours ago. Man was I exhausted. Ma managed to get the meds in me before we left Montello. I slept most of the way home and took a nap while they unpacked the trailer. It also rained all the way home and for hours after we got home. We also discovered that the new front window seals in the Shasta failed. What a mess.

I am looking forward to camping in Wild Rose in a couple of weeks. Ma said that we are going to take the ’53 Zollinger because it is better insulated.

Open House Day

Ma & Pa were concerned that I might get a little overwhelmed by all the people touring MY camper during the "Show & Shine" so they locked me up in my portable playhouse. Here I am harassing the neighbor dogs. Hee hee. Stupid dogs. Mom said she counted 222 people that went through my trailer. I greeted the last 20 or so. The "Show & Shine" means that the campground is open for the public to tour the trailers.
Travis stopped by after the open house to check out our "Trailer Mail" mailbox. He wanted to put a few spit miles on it, but dad would not let him because dad smelled alchol on his breath. Snooze you lose gnome!
Here is dad in front of his baby "Shaz" she is a 1961 Shasta Airflyte. Ma & Pa bought her in 1999 and used her for years before they decided that she needed a restoration. This is Shaz's second year showing at the rally. We got a lot of compliments on her this year. I really enjoyed my first "Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally". I hope that I can come back next year. Ma & Pa said that in a couple of weeks that we going to Wild Rose camping with the Sargents. I can't wait!

Finally Met My Blogging Idol

Wow what a day Thursday was! Ma & Pa were up early drinking coffee and packing up the Shasta for the rally. I just knew Ma was up to something. Turned out she tried to drug me! First I spit it out. FAIL. Than she tried a different tactic. Crushing the pill and mixed it with water and injecting it down my throat. FAIL again (dad was surprised with how much spit I have). Than she tried brute force and shoved the pill down and rubbed my throat. Dang it that kinda worked. I still was a little worked up most of the trip to Montello.

When we got to the rally I finally got to meet Kimberly and Gibb. Nice folk Kimberly and Gibb. I was pretty tired and freaking out so for the Cocktail party Ma & Pa put me in my playhouse while the party was at my trailer.

I learned Friday that Travis, and Big Bill were parked next to us. While Ma & Pa were occupied I sauntered over and introduced myself. Hmmm. Big Bill ain’t so big, but I was not about to tell him that to his face. Travis was real cool. Did you know Gnomes live to be thousand of years old? Who knew. I am having so much fun meeting all the vintage people and getting to tour their trailers. I am going to take a nap now, after all camping is all about relaxing. Here is Big Bill, Travis and me Oscar meeting for the first time.

Whoo hoo!

Remind me to NEVER screw with cousin Ollie. In less than six months he totally destroyed his scratching post. Good thing Ma saved the left over carpet.

My bags are packed. Shasta screen door and propane leak are fixed (and I helped). We are almost ready for the Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally. Ma just has to pick up my traveling meds, make the food, pack the coolers and trailer. I can’t wait. I’ll post about the rally when I get there.

O.M.G.

What a racket those two make! Grandpa said that Ava (the lady on the right) is a natural! I was SO happy when they left last night. I had a headache. The temper tantram they threw when they had to stop playing didn't help either.
Dad said that he wants to go camping next weekend so I am going to start packing my bags. I have to practice my camping skills this week also. I am looking foward to the peace and quiet of the woods.

Today I Turned One Year Old!

Well I actually turned one yesterday. It was a busy day yesterday. Dad took me outside and discovered that the stupid side windows in the ‘61 Shasta have been leaking and rotting out already. Less than a year since restoration and Mom and Dad have to replace the side walls before the rally. Dad said this weekend we have to get a move on because the rally is less than 5 weeks away. We sat in the camper and discussed the best way to fix the damage and stop the leaking. Dad says that Shasta’s had the pi$$ poorest design on the side windows.

I spent a good chunk of my birthday laying outside under the Shasta. Mom was swearing at the front window seals and Dad finally agreed that it’s time to replace them. Ma has had the all the seals laying around waiting for Dad to admit they need replacing. Dad should know better than to argue with Ma.

For my birthday I get to go to the “Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally” in September. I can’t wait! I am looking forward to meeting Travis and Big Bill in person.

The ladies came over for my birthday last night. Katie made bubble pizza and mom made me mini strawberry cupcakes with vanilla frosting. Zoe the “Cupcake Queen” would NOT let me have any! Mom said that Zoe has always been a cupcake freak and probably buzzed because of all the sugar she ate.

Anyways I could not believe my ears when Zoe called me by my name Oscar and not the usual “kitty”. The Zoe Bear came again today while Katie and Ava were running errands. She finished off the last couple of cupcakes.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Boy have I been busy lately. Where do I start? Ma and I have painted the kitchen ceiling, walls and woodwork. Then I tried to help lay down a new sub floor and linoleum, but she said that I was in the way and made me spend time with dad cleaning out the “hoarder” room. It worked good for me because we found Opie & Baz’s old toy box. OOooo I LOVE sparkle balls!

I have kind of been mad at ma and pa because they had not been bringing me outside. That and the fact that they have gotten faster at getting through the doors. Darn it all. I really groove on hiding in the garden. I am in there somewhere. I like hiding in the Daylilies.

Two months until the “Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally” and I have been going on small car rides. I HATE riding in the car! I stress out and start whining and panting. Mom wants to call the Vet and see if they can get some drugs that might calm me down for the 2-2 ½ hours it takes to get to Montello. Of course I probably have to go see the head clown at the circus before I can get me some drugs. I am also probably going to get a good talking to because I am getting pretty big. Mom said that I have a “Budda Belly”.

Swimming with the Ladies

Well I was suppost to go swimming with the Ladies today, but Ma & Pa saw that I was panting because it was so hot outside and they made me go in the house. Gamma & Boppa were surprised that Ava the more reserved lady was excited to get in the pool and Zoe the outgoing lady freaked out! That's Ava Jean Bean on the left. She cried when they made her get out of the pool and cried all the way home because she wanted to swim all day!
Here is Boppa with Zoe Bear. Zoe freaked when she got in the water, everytime Gamma tried to get her in the water she climbed higher up and kept screaming in Gamma's ear. In her defense the water was only 70 degrees today and the air was 88 degrees at the time. She calmed down after a while and all was good. I think she liked the duck more than anything.

I am still working on the camping manners. Mom said that I am doing better. I really need to start listening a little better. Three months until the Rally starts and mom and dad are getting excited. They are more worried about me on the two hour trip getting there than they are about me getting along with other people and dogs.

Working on my camping manners

Three months to go before the “Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally”! I have been working on my camping manners while in the yard. Mom said that I have good and bad days. Of course she also said that they have created a MONSTER! Hey! Oscar’s my name and crying at doors is my game! I can’t help it they are old & slow when it comes to closing doors. My new nickname is “Bolt”. So far I have kinda made friends with the neighbor dog named Monster. I am bigger than he is, he thinks that he is a Rottweiler, he only looks like one.
Mom has been hard at work in her garden this year. Of course I have been “helping”. My job is patrolling the fenced in area spreading my scent so the rabbits that she is at war with stay out. I did get to try out my tree climbing skills. Man was she surprised then I came sauntering around the corner off my leash! Stupid clicker! Why, oh why do I have to come running towards the clicker? Oh ya, treats. What is overweight? Ma and Pa say that I am overweight.
The trailer park is now set up in the back forty around the new fire pit that Mom and Wayne (Monster‘s Dad) built. We are going to be entertaining this weekend so I will be yamping in the Zollinger. I love sleeping in the campers, it’s like my own summer home.

P.S. Rubbing the “Budda’s Belly” for luck, IS NOT funny Mom!

The Ladies Lounge

I thought that Ma & Pa bought me my own playhouse. It turns out that they bought it for the "Ladies" christmas present. Mom has been building it in sections in the house and I have been "helping" her. Saturday morning they got up early, loaded the sections in the pick up truck, delivered and set it up.
At least I got to play in it when it was set up a home. FYI it was NOT ME that colored all over the wall with sidewalk chalk! Jez louise. Mom took lots of pictures for me. Ava is in the green dress and Zoe is in the pink dress.

Just Got Home From Camping

Just got back from camping at Mauthe Lake State Park. Ma and Pa picked a spot that they never camped in before. We were in dad’s ‘61 Shasta Airflyte, and we were the first camper that you saw when you pulled into the campground. I knew something was up before we left. Mom made a bunch of trips out to the camper getting ready to go. When dad came home from work Thursday night (dad works 2nd shift) I jumped into my carrier and off we went. I was a little freaked out traveling at night, but as soon as mom let me out in the camper I was fine.
The weather was kinda crappy, but I did get a chance to walk around on my harness and leash until I got cold. Mom ended carrying me back to the campsite. I needed a nap after that. I did get to sit around the fire on Saturday night for a few minutes. Mom wrapped me up in my snuggie and held me but it was too cold and windy. I wanted to go back inside and wait for them.

We stopped by Josh and Katie’s to see what kind of surprise that had for us. Dad was SURE that Katie was pregnant. Turns out that they have my Grandma and her new litter of kittens in the garage. They tried to get mom and dad to pick out a new sibling for me. NO WAY MAN! I am an only kat! It was good to see Grandma again. I was pretty mad after that and hissed at the ladies. I just wanted to go home and take a nap.

Not So Patiently Waiting For Spring!

Hello everybody! I have been pretty busy lately. I have been “helping” mom start plants for her garden. Mom has been yelling at me because so far I have eaten a couple of tomato plants and knocked a couple of pots off the window sill. In my defense it IS one of my favorite spots to sun myself. Now she has a baby gate up so I can’t get in the pantry unless I am supervised. Hee hee even if supervised I am still digging in the dirt when her back is turned.

Mom has started knitting again. I wanted to try my paw at it and she wouldn’t let me, so I stole it when she wasn’t looking. Turns out I’m not very good at it.

I am hoping that we get to go camping for Easter this year. Although mom said that I will have to start wearing my harness for a couple of hour a day so I get comfortable with it again. I suppose that they will expect me to learn how to walk with a leash. We’ll see. Maybe I will or maybe I won’t.

I am in trouble AGAIN!

Mom and dad came to the decision that I am more of a comedian than a lap cat. My cousin Oliver is a lap cat. Sunday when they went to the Ladies house for the Daytona 500 they took the scratching post for Olly that they built. Olly LOVED it! Once again I got reminded that he’s a lap cat and I’m not.

One of Ava’s favorite new words is “color”. Here they are getting ready to make some fridge art for our fridge. Zoe’s new favorite words I am NOT allowed to repeat.

Mom is really not happy with me today. Somehow the plastic that she put on the windows got a big rip in it and I was playing between it and the window. Really I have NO idea how that happened. Hee hee hee. She put a wood board up trying to keep me out, guess it didn’t work.

Lady Sitting

Mom, Dad and I went to Lady sit on Sunday night. I finally figured out why they call it baby sitting. The baby sits on you. Well duh. Ava was sitting on Grandpa playing horse. What I wanna know is….. why will Dad play horse with Ava and not me? I weigh a lot less than her.

I really wanted to color with the girls but I was afraid that I would have more crayon on me than the paper. Actually it was mom drawing heart shaped tattoos on the girls. The girls were good about drawing on the paper. The tattoos must have rubbed off because she didn't get yelled by at Josh & Katie! Oops I was not suppose to say that out loud.

My cousin Oliver was not really happy to see me. He kept growling at me. I took it only for so long before I started to growl back and stand up for myself. Hey I was only trying to be polite at his house. I will admit I stayed close to Mom and Dad after that. I even wore my new paw and crossbones collar to show him.
Mom is really in heaven making stuff for “The Ladies”. She said that twin Granddaughters are the best! She gets to use all her girly skills making stuff for them. Although she is also holding out for twin Grandsons next. ;) (Sorry Josh, she made me type that. I know, I rolled my eyes also) Anyhow… I get to make stuff with mom so it’s all good. Here I am helping make new and improved paper bead necklaces. New and improved really means Zoe proof! I also helped cut, color, roll, glue and seal the beads. I really am one talented kat!
I have been told that they are again starting to potty train Ava and Zoe. When they are finished they are going to go camping with us. All I can say is there is only room enough in my new bed for me!
