I am so far behind

I know, I know the rally was a couple of months ago and this is the first chance I got ma to post about it. In her defense she has been busy canning and putting the gardens to rest for the year. That and the fact that The “Ladies” come every other weekend and ma & pa like to spend time with them. I am a little miffed that I didn’t get to go to the apple orchard or pumpkin farm a couple of weeks ago.

Here is a picture of me looking at dad’s hat he won 1st place with in the hat contest. He wore it the whole night at the cocktail party just to embarrass me. Once again we has so much fun. Ma did real good giving her “Coleman Lantern Seminar”. That and the two old fools won the “Egg Toss” contest. Next year dad said we are going to bring the Airstream and maybe Ollie can come with us. That's not fair the Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally is my gig not his!

Here I am during the “Show ‘n Shine” handing out my business cards. The old farts were really surprised that I stayed in the Zollinger and greeted 200+ people.

Gotta go see a man about a nap now. Hmm… maybe I will go try and talk dad into a pre nap treat.

This is Ollie Kat

This is Ollie Kat on drugs. Ma kept yelling at him because first he got caught between the gates trying to get the toad. He’s been after that toad for days. Dad said toads taste bad and Ollie will only try to taste one once. I asked dad how he knew and he just said trust me they taste bad. Anyhoo after ma let him in he mowed down a green pepper plant when ma wasn’t looking and then found his way behind the cherry maters and found the catnip.

Yesterday the Ladies came for a few hours. They are getting pretty good at that kat fishing thing. Although they keep crossing the lines and getting tangled up. Then we played with bubbles until Zoe got her hair tangled up in the fan on her bubble gun and Ma had to cut her hair out of it. Ollie giggled and got the hairy eye from ma. Me I just stay out of the way and observe the Ladies. Ollie is right in the middle playing with them. Here is Zoe trying to catch a big stinky Ollie fish!

Ava stole Boppa's (Grandpa's) hat while he wasn't looking.

Well I gotta go now and see a man about a nap. Being a kat is really a tough job around here. I have to watch the door like a hawk just in case ma decides to try and sneak out without me.

Tasty Beverages!

What to do after a hard day of supervising the gardening? Why share a tasty (non-alcoholic) beverage with mom! Mmmm I thought I loved daddy’s iced tea, but I think I like mom’s strawberry lemonade just as much. I am SO spoiled. Ma and I have expanding the garden for a friend to use for the rest of the season. Ma said she was going to do it next year, but after all the rain we have had the last couple of days it was easy to pull the weeds up. Now we just have to cut down the dead apple tree and dig out a couple of stumps. It’s so wet back there that it’s easy to dig up the soil. Ma said we have really GOOD dirt back there because of the creek and all the leaves that get piled there in fall. She calls it “Black Gold”. I just call it fluffy dirt that’s easy to dig up and poop in! But I’m a kat what do I know about dirt?

P.S. I really am a handsome fellow aren’t I? Daddy calls me “The Beloved One”. Josh calls me fat and spoiled. Ma calls me an ‘ole goat because I grunt instead of purr. Don’t care as long as I’m with my humanz!

Another catch up post.

Well one of Ma’s Rhubarb plants didn’t come up and I got the blame. Never fear Dad’s best friend’s divorce will be final tomorrow and I worked out a deal with Kurt. He is going to be letting Mom dig up his Rhubarb when she go’s to get the canning jars. Problem solved. The mater and pepper plants are growing nicely. Ma lets me go off leash in the fenced in garden, I promised NO MORE fertilizing the plants.

Ollie and I also have been supervising the putting up of the new/used pool. Mom said that we have to let my nieces Mary and Sara use the pool that was part of the deal. The “ladies” are getting excited to try it out also, Grandpa said that they MUST have life vests before they will be allowed to go swimming. Mom found a couple of like new one’s at “Vinny’s” for a couple of bucks a piece. She is still looking for Kat sizes for Ollie and me. I think I’ll pass, the pool is 18’ x 48” way too big and deep for this kat.

Looks like I am going to the Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally again this year. Ma made the reservations a couple of weeks ago. Dad said we are going a day early this year. We are not sure if Ollie is going this year or not.

Well off to take a nap before Ma and I go out and weed the garden. Sunday is a good day to putter around the garden because of less traffic and semi’s going by. Oh and train’s also. They totally re-built the tracks past our house and now we got lots of trains that go faster than they did last year. I HATE loud trains. I also don’t believe Mom and Dad when they tell me the train is 1” closer to the house than it was yesterday. Jez Louise I wasn’t born yesterday!

P.S. I can't believe that Ma posted the picture of me during my shower ritual.

Like Travis... I am so far behind in my posting!

(Oops, we wrote this a couple of weeks ago and forgot to post it to the blog.)

Ollie and I have been real busy lately. We have been helping mom dig up the back garden. Ma said that the back garden hasn’t been used for the last 15 years except it has been used for a dumping ground for fire pit ashes, leaves and other assorted junk. We also have been “supervising” the raking, putting up the fence and digging up of the daffodils and day lily’s that have taken up the garden. The neighbors think it’s funny that Ollie and I are out on our leashes helping. I even got a new nick name that I am NOT fond of. Seriously. They call me “Catdog”. Mom said that if the Rhubarb don’t come up it’s because I decided to start fertilizing it. Ollie has been laying on the new Asparagus plants she put in for dad.

Here is Ollie with his latest artwork. He calls it "Yarn BOMB" He is quite proud of it. Mom not so much. It seems Ollie figured out the lid of the yarn container is loose and won't fit tight.

Spring is on it's way!

The ladies were here again yesterday. Can you believe they have two toy box’s and a big tub of markers, crayons, and coloring books and they choose to sit in MY cat bed and play with MY kat toys? Geeze Louise! Here Ollie is telling Ava that she BETTER be putting my new kat toy down and vacating my bed because I am getting mad.

Not only were they in MY bed they were fighting over MY cardboard box. The fighting got so bad that Ma had to go get another box so they could both have a box.

I have never heard such a commotion as when they used their litter box. Ma kept saying YAY and clapping her hands! Hmmm… she never does that when Ollie and I use ours. Hey. We also never get treats like they did when we use the box. I tried to use their box, but I couldn’t fit my big butt in it. Oh well I guess I will keep using my own box for now.

Ma put our beds in the alcove so we can lay in the sun and look outside. Yay! Spring is on it’s way! I can’t wait until it’s time to go out and garden with Ma. Ollie is in trouble because Ma put a small fan on the mater plants and Ollie the big goof stuck his head in the green house and chewed down two mater plants. Ma was really mad at him!

Me I have been trying to be really good. I have been trying to “help” mom sew. Ma keeps saying “Oscar, Oscar, Oscar”. I just know that she’s glad that I am helping!

Ollie’s In Trouble, Ollie’s In Trouble!

Hello, I know. I know it’s been a while since my last post. Ollie has been nothing but naughty! He pulled mom’s celery plants out of the dirt and chased them around until mom caught him. She was sure mad at him. Dad has now built a door for the pantry so we are locked out unless we are supervised. Thanks a lot Ollie.

Then Dad bought her a cheap indoor greenhouse because she is going to double the garden size this year and needs more maters and jalapenos and other assorted green stuff.
I do like "helping" mom put away groceries when she gets home from shopping. Shh don't tell her, but I am really looking for my treats! Ma you did buy me treats right?

I had to go to the circus last week to get my shots. This year I saw a different clown and her name was Dr. Dommer . I was pretty pissed with her at first. Then Ma yelled at me for hissing at the “Vet Tech” and Dr. Dommer and I decided to behave. Well actually the Dr. threw my towel over me and gave me a massage and rubbed my chin until I settled down. She thinks that I am “Artistic”! Ma told me that she said Autistic not “Artistic” because I was bottle fed and missed learning things from my furry mom and that’s why I get over stimulated easy. Dad said mom and I are both nuts.

I also have to go on a diet. Apparently 11.4 pounds is too fat. I don’t have a hourglass figure. Pfftt

P.S, I am SO SICK AND TIRED of snow and sleet! I wanna get out in the garden with mom. I like laying in the dirt watching mom. I also like to poop next to the compost pile!
